Ukuthula Peace Challenge Poster, Poem and Story Project
An initiative of the KwaZulu Natal (KZN) Peace Challenge, this project seeks to involve young people throughout KZN in creating pictures, poems, and stories based on their experiences of violence or their visions of peace. Selections will be collected in a book entitled KZN Visions of Peace. Next year, there will be workshops for marginalized and disadvantaged youth and an exhibition. All the pictures and articles will be bound into booklets, along with a history of KZN's story of violence and peace. These booklets will be sent to key leaders in our country and throughout the world, and in particular, to countries of conflict such as Rwanda and Kosovo as a sign of our support and prayers for peace.

Pilgrimage: a Way to Interreligious Understanding
Pilgrimage, as a way of increasing interreligious understanding, can be done in one's village, town, city on a state, national or international level. The Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington has held eight different, day-long and half-day interfaith pilgrimages. Participation has ranged from 1580 persons and usually hovers around 40-50. Many of the pilgrimages involved visiting diverse religious congregations. One visit was to three sacred gardens; another was chanting in Hindu and Christian traditions. Each interfaith pilgrimage is preceded by a lecture-discussion to familiarize participants with the tradition(s) involved. Interfaith Conference of Metro Washington USA
