PRATISHTHA MAHOTSAV JUNE 27-JULY 6 1998
Jai Jinendra! It is our great pleasure to welcome all of you on this auspicious Pratishtha ceremony. The temple is a place where your mind is at peace, your spirit is lifted, and your soul feels unknown energy. You are in constant bliss with a tender smile in your heart. The Jain Society of Detroit was founded in 1975 as a small group of friends with a similar link. Since then, the Society has grown to be strong, united and passionate. Through the years, we conducted various activities, celebrated auspicious occasions and most importantly taught Jainism to our children and adults through our monthly Jain Study Class. Preserving our religion meant learning, understanding, and practicing Jainism. It was evident that our goal could be most successfully achieved only with a temple. Like other societies, we faced many difficulties to build our temple, Despite the struggles over the years, the society has finally come through.. The society admires and appreciates the members who contributed in the noble task of making a magnificent temple with devotion and commitment. Our temple will be a monument of unity, peace and harmony. We, including the next generation, will have a pure and peaceful place to participate and experience the purpose of life.
On Sunday July 5th 1998 at 12:39 PM. installation of the murtis in our temple is with Mantras during the Pratishtha Ceremony, the spirit of these perfected souls will inspire all of us to worship and to help travel our own path to moksha.
