A fifty dollar savings bond will be awarded in three categories: ages 8 and under; ages 9-13; and ages 14-18. The essay should be approximately | 2-3 pages and can be based on research, interviews, and/or personal beliefs. Vegetarianism is not eating meat, fish or fowl (chicken, turkey, or any other bird). Among the reasons for choosing a vegetarian diet are health, ethics, economics, culture, environment, and religion. The deadline for entry is May 1, 1994.
