PRIME MINISTER OPENS JAIN REST HOUSE Indore, Madhya Pradesh. July 13th. A Jain Rest House built by Jain Tirth Trust at a cost of Rs.800,000 was declared open by the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi. On this occasion, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi was presented with a silver replica of the building. BAHUBALI BROUGHT TO INDORE A marble statue of Bhagwan Bahubali was received at an auspicious ceremony held by the citizens of Indore. The statue is 21 feet in height and was beautifully carved by Shri Suraj Narayan of Rajasthan. The statue will be installed on a nearby hill, Gomatagiri. The committee chairman, Mr. Babulal Patodia, informs that Gomatagiri will be made to become the State's tourist attraction. PARSWANATH IDOL CONSECRATED IN NEW TEMPLE Dhindivanam, Tamilnadu. The newly built Parswanath temple here was an important news for the Jains in Tamilnadu province. The idol of 23rd Tirthankara Parswanath was recently consecrated in this new temple in the town of Dhindivanam. Shri Laxmisena Swami, the Bhattarak of Jina Kanchi (Conjeevaram) graced the ceremonies.
