Once king Shrenikvisited PuniyaSravaka to get his Samayikas against very attractive offer of jewels as advised by Mahavira to show him the real value of SAMATA. Puniya explained that Samayika is not a material but it is a ritual performed with great devotion and contemplation of 12 Bhavanas viz. Ekatva, Bodhi-durlabha etc.
The king Shrenik enlightened & went to Samavasarana of Mahavira. He understood the real concept of meditation that it is not mere a ritual but it increases Samatabhavain follower by which soul can reach to Moksa.
