________________ AUGUST-SEPTEMBER 2015 PRABUDHH JEEVAN JAIN DHARM ANE ANYA DHARMNI AAVASHYAK KRIYAO VISHESHANK PAGE 163 JAIN THE SECKER'S DIARY KRAM AGAINST KARMA JAIN DHARM ANE ANYA DHARMNI AAVASHYAK KRIYAO VISHESHANK JAIN DHARM ANE ANYA DHARMNI AAVASHYAK KRIYAO VISHESHANK Y JAIN Ź 'Aavashyak kram or compulsory is such a strong term and yet in the world of 'within' or 'spirituality' this strong term becomes lighter and lighter if we actually follow it to the tee. Mandatory, compulsory, this is how it must be done, non-negotiable - Even though these words apparently Ś seem constrictive, in its very fold lies vastness, freedom and liberation. The discipline helps you pave your highway upon which the path to moksha and the speed of it achieved effortlessly. We are in a time called Kalyug, Pancham aaro, ( kaal), and even as we see tremendous worldly progress, we are seeing our own natures, moral fabric being shredded to pieces. We are easily distracted, extremely fickle minded, unable to really be able to be still and sahajta and nirdoshta are even more far fetched. So; to anyone following the 2500 year old tradition of samayik, pratikraman, poushad in any language, z Ardh Maagdhi, Prakrit, Sanskrit, all our respects for you. I was asked to write on the everyday compulsory dincharya or 'Kram' as written by Shrimad Rajchandra ji and made Krambadh by Prabhushri Lallu ji Maharaj. I am about to give a brief insight into it. These are all followed in different capacities in all Shrimad Rajchandraji Ashrams like in Agas, Vavania, Rajkot, Khambat, Vadva, Naal, Uttarsandha, but I am the most familiar with the ShrimadRajchandra Missionw Dharampur as it is a place I go to the most. The minor differences if any are based on due to the changing kshetra, samay and kaal. And ofcourse the disciples themselves and their capacities. I need to just give you a briefer synopsis into why I believe Pujyashri Gurudev Dr. Rakeshbhai Jhaveri and before him Param Kripadu Shrimad Rajchandra ji and his disciple Prabhu Shri ji, all the people who have z contributed to this Kram chose it the way they did. - they chose a different language, simplified it, made it more understandable. The path as written by Shrimad ji is not inspite of or overlooking the traditional Jain ritual that already is but z it is a path or a 'Kram' keeping in mind how all of us in Pancham Kaal are, our actions and reactions, our thick and thin skinnedness and our mental and moral capacities are in this day and age. This is further more simplified by Gurudevshri Rakeshbhai considering the large youth following he has. It is a 'Kram' out of sheer Karuna( compassion) of our Sadguru to give us a sugar coated pill we can easily swallow, in a language we can understand, with some flexibilities to motivate us first to willingly and happily come on to the path; then help us stay in the path and not go astray. Essentially help us inspite of us. At Dharampur; we as of today, have a five level Sadhana, - a simple and progressive road map with small achievable milestones marked in each to help our progression on the path to disciplining our wandering u mind which we choose according to our ability to commit but if we are a follower of the Ashram and want to be in the Arpit family (then we have to commit to Ankuram atleast. z If we just glance through this chart, we will realise that the first step or Beejam is as the word describes just to put that seed to plant the path inside you in the very beginning. - that we atleast accept and believe there is something like the Aatma and our first steps/ efforts to be on the journey to discovering it. Ankuram is when the seed has started to sprout and you are beginning to feel inside you the slight small E changes, and the strength of prayer. W Parnam is really choosing this practice with a more committed force and conviction and giving it that much w of our time, energy and yourself into it. Pushpam ( can be also called Vanprastha Diksha) is to physically, mentally, emotionally choosing this life á all the time with genuinely little time and space involved in the sansaar by removing ourselves from saansarik activities.
