The formation of each word is analyzed and rules of grammar applied in a particular word are explained. After attending this course one will be able to cultivate the knowledge of Prakrit. The scholars working in the field of Indology will find a new area because of their access to original texts and their effort in comparative studies will get a boost. In turn, Prakrit studies will find a new bunch of scholars who can handle the Prakrit texts. Those adept in Sanskrit can grasp Prakrit very easily. They may be engaged in editing and translation of the Prakrit texts. Ultimately the base of Prakrit scholars is bound to expand, which is the need of the hour. The exploration of original sources is likely to enhance the standard of the researches in Indology as a whole. The Inaugural function of the workshop was held on 15th May, 2015. Prof. G. C. Tripathi, Vice-chancellor, Banaras Hindu University, was the Chief-guest and Prof. Yadunath Prasad Dubey, Vicechancellor, Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi presided over the session and Prof. M. N. P. Tiwari, Professor Emeritus, Faculty of Arts, BHU, Varanasi was the guest of honour.
