Demise of Shri B. N. Jain : A Great Loss to the Jain
Community Shri B. N. Jain passed away on 19 January, 2015 at Faridabad. He was a person of rare caliber, a personality with literary sensitivity, and a social guide. Shri B. N. Jain was born on 8th November, 1918 to Lala Jagannath Ji Jain family in Gali Bhavadya near Bajar Dholandas of Amritsar. He was grand son of Shri Jagannath Jain and second son of Lala Harjas Rai Jain who were well known for their contribution in the service of Punjab Jain Samaj. After High School, he was admitted to Forman Christian College, Lohor. In 1936, he joined Banaras Hindu University for his Engineering education but due to weak health he returned to Mughalpura, Lohor. He did his graduation in Machanical Engineering with First Division in 1941 from Punjab University, Lohor. At the time of the establishment of P. V. Research Institute today known as Parshwanath Vidyapeeth, he was in B. H. U. He was married with Shakuntala Rani Jain beloved and eldest daughter of Sheth Mohanlalji Jain, Kasur. From the beginning Bhupendra Nathji used to be in regular touch with Jain a monks. Regular contact with monks nourished his spiritual urge. He served more than twelve Government and Private Institution in different capacities. In his noble guidance his family got great success in business community by establishing the companies like Nuchem Plastic, Ltd, Nuware India Ltd.; Barar Lions Button Pvt. Ltd. so on and so forth.
He made an in-depth study of Jainism and played an instrumental role in the upliftment of Jain Society by establishing the Paramarth Trust. He was a great social worker. He was President of Faridabad Jain Sangh for several years. He was President of Faridabad Industries Association from 1975 to 1977. During his tenure an
