9. Prakrit-Kalpataru of Rāmaśarman (Rāmatarkavāgīša) follows the grammar of Purusottama. It has three chapters (śākhā), which are again sub-divided into fifteen clusters (stavabas). Each cluster comprises again of several stanzas called flowers (kusuma). In nine clusters of the first chapter, the general characteristic features of Māhārāștri are dealt, dividing into vowel (ac), consonant (hal), conjunct (yukta), double (dvitva), conjugation (sandhi), root suffixes (tiñ), root substitutes (dhātvādeśa) and indeclinables (nipātas). In the three clusters of 2nd chapter dialects Sauraseni, Prācyā, Āvanti, Bāhliki, Māgadhī, Ardhamāgadhi and Daksinātyā are treated. The first two clusters of the third chapter, describe in addition to Nāgara, Vrācada and Upanāgara, a number of minor dialects. The last cluster is entirely devoted to Paiśācī with its varieties.
