________________ teachers of humanity. These volumes undoubtedly prove that Yuvāchārya like Acharya Shri Tulasi is realist who has given new dimensions to the tenets of Jainism as revealed by Lord Mabāvīra and Achārya Bhiksu and Acharya Sri Tulsi. Last but not the least is the sphere of 'Yoga & Sadhanā' to which the Yuvāchāryaji has applied himself wholeheartedly to arrive at reality through personal participation in it and benefit the entire humanity in the light of his attainment-"Sampikkhae-appagamappaeņań." He has evolved the technique of Prekşā-Dhyāna and produced a vast literature on this lost undeveloped field of Jainology. His works "Mana ke jīte jīta”, “Jaina Yoga”, “Cetanā kā Urdhvārohaņa”, “Main; merā mana ; merī śānti” bear the eternal truth-"appaņāsaccamesejjā mettim bhūesu kappaye”, whose single drop is the coordination of spiritualism and life-philosophy. That drop, though tiny, is as deep and expansive as the sea. He has gained vision which is not ‘viyoga' of the past and the present; it is 'Yoga'. His consciousness is not bound to 'you' and 'l' distinction; it is free from it. His sādhanā does not worship truth; it anatomises it. He has laid down sixteen points to achieve mental peace; of them eight points are for personal sādhanā and eight are for collective sādhanā. Thus his book "Main merã ; mana ; meri śānti" is a boon for those who are upset due to mental tensions. It is gratifying to note that a dozen of his works have been rendered into English. Looking to the magnitude of his literature, this number is very small. It is hoped that most of his major works shall be rendered into English very shortly To conclude, let me quote from his "Vicāroń kā anubandha” the views of this intellectual personality on how man can reach the highest rung of the ladder of success in his life : “A person is ever in quest of emancipation. He does not like strings. So it is essential for him to seek emancipation. But is it really easy to get emancipation ? The medium through which it is sought, is itself a bondage. Intellect is a bondage. Idea is a bondage. If man does not use his intellect, he is no better than an animal. If he does not entertain any idea, he is static. He can neither do without intellect nor without ideas. From advanced level we find that intellect and ideas are the sole factors. From existence level we find that intellect and ideas are of no use. Genius is not drained when one goes from ignorance to wisdom and from wisdom to the state transcending wisdom. It is not Vol. IV, Nos. 7-8 109
