A phonological analysis of the words of all the initial 100 verses according to MS-J (as
given below) reveals that the percentage of dropping is 11.5% and that of retention is 70% i. e. only a difference of 2% as compared to that of the auto-commentary. The phonological changes occuring in two MSS, and two editions can be tabulated as follows: (a) Non-aspirate Medials
