In contrast with other medieval poetry and certainly due to the late period, the abundant works of Dayārama (1777 - 1852), as well as the story of his life, are well recorded and published, even by the descendants of his disciples; see for instance Dayarāmakṛta kävyasangraha edited in two parts by the pioneer of modern Gujarati, Narmadāśankar (1833-1886) at Bombay Gujarati Printing Press, 1887, or the collection Dayäräma rasadhara (9 vols.) and Gadyadhara (3 vols.) by K.K.
