________________ 16 main types of liberation conceived in Indian tradition such as those of Jeevan Mukta, identity with thc Avsolute and utter devotion to the Supreme personal God. They have equal status and they are being substantaiated in writings of modern thinkers and saints. The seeker of liberation is satisfied by any one path of liberation and it is not possible to negate any one path as it may lead the aspirant to the destined goal. The aim of welfare, liberation of total mankind can be seen to be taking shape during last one hundred years and more. Modern India can be seen to have been committed to the aim of social welfare, Sarvodaya and Lok Sangraha as related with the whole mankind.
