sinhasana or the lion-throne. One more feature in Jain iconography is its depiction of the patrons of the Tirthankaras, and scenes from the life of the Pontiffs. Dr. Bhattacharya gave varied description of the Jain images and explained their artistic and symbolic implications. It was, though short, a very vivid and panoramic reproduction of our iconography and its exquisitness.
