119, C.E. 1173] 4. An inscription composed by Hitțina Senabova, a bard who
had the epithet of Anupama kavi Kālidāsa' records the endowments of land etc., extended to the Jaina shrine at Chikka
Handigoļa, in C.E. 1174 (ibid., No. 128] 5. Kopparasa, Lord of Ādakki and general of Rāyamurāri
Sovideva, the Kalacuri king, made over several gifts to Cenna Pārsvadeva's angaboga, Aștavidhārcane, Jivadayā-Aștami and festival days of Nandīśvara in C.E. 1165 [Kalburgi Jilleya
Śāsanagaļu, Ādaki No. 3, C.E. 1165] 6. The Five Hundred of Ayyāvaļe granted gifts to perform
Aştavidhārcane in the Senior temple, also known as Tirthada Basadi, dedicated to Goddess Padmāvati Mahādevi of Ādakki, important seat of Jainism, in the reign of Rāyamurāri Sovideva
(ibid, No. 4 C.E. 1165] 7. When Rāyamurāri Sovideva was on the Kalacuri throne, Ādaki
flourished as a great centre for Jaina activities. While he was administering from his residence at Modeganūr and Koppa, mahāmandalesvara 'Ecarasa and others donated land and other gifts to the temples of Pārsvadeva of Big temple and Ghatāntakidevi of Tirthada Basadi of original congregation for performing Aștavidha-arcane, Jivadayāstami, Nandīśvaraparva
and for daily worship. 8. An incomplete inscription dated C.E. 1159, inscribed on the
backside of the Virabhadrasvāmi image enshrined in the Virabhadradeva temple at Karaţikal village (Raichur Dt., Lingasugūr Tk), of the Kalacuri period, provides information
about Jaina Church. 9. Another charter, of the Kalacuris, from Nadiharaļahalli, dated
C.E. 1168, records that Arasigāvundi and Nāgagāvunda gifted land to the maintenance of Rşabha Jinendra caityālaya and dānaśāla of Gottagadi village (SII, Vol. XVIII. No. 180, C.E. 1168. Nadiharaļahalli (Hāveri Dt, Rāņibennür Tk)].
