the museum collection. One of them depicts Adinatha standing on a pedestal and is surrounded by a prabhavali accommodating miniature figures of the other Tirthankaras arranged in tiers. At his foot level are shown Gomukha Yakşa and Cakreśvari Yakşi. The pitha in its central part contains the bull cognaisance of Adinatha. The other four bronze images are said to have dug up from Pudukkottai town itself. Two of them represent Parśvanatha while the others may be Mahavira. They lack the classical idiom and may be assigned to the 15th-16th century A. D.
