Jaina Sangha which comes closest to being the common anscestor of the three groups of modern Sangha, via Lonkagaccha, Sthanakavasin and Terapanthin on the Svetambararside, is Tapagacchas of Western region of India with monastic characteristic found to day only in these three groups.
