The most outstanding of the extra-Agamic authors is the celebrated Digambara savant Ācārya Kunda-kunda. Although his exact date is still a matter of dispute, the widely accepted view seems to be that he lived at the opening of the Christian era and was the author of three outstanding works entitled Pravacana-sāra, Pañcāstikāya-sāra and Samaya-sāra. A summary of these works is provided. Each one of these works in turn attracted a number of commentators whose commentaries have further enriched the original production. A good part of Kunda-kunda's work seems to have disappeared and only a fraction is believed to have survived the ravages of time Among other extra-Agamic texts which have concentrated on fundamentals the following have been taken note of : Work
