28. Jinanagara, an equivalent of Jinasahara, occurs in the epigraphs in the sense of a Jaina temple and Jinanigama, a similar expression, means 'a township in the possession of a Jain temple or, more probably, a Jain temple' (D. C. Sircar, Indian Epigraphical Glossary, Delhi etc. 1966, p.135).
