Mahāvīra was calm, silent and emersed in meditation as an insentient thing at Kūrmarāgaon (Kāmanchapra) in Bihar, when one husbandman charged him without finding out his pair of bullocks that he was intent upon steal
ing them. 30 After the attainment of his Kevalajñana and Kevaladarśana Mahāvīra went
to Madhyamanagari from Jțmbhaka gaon and delivered religious sermons in a great assembly attended by thousands of men and women. Avasyaka,
