________________ KARTTIKEYANUPREKSA 82 - शाकटायनेन्द्र- पाणिनि-कलाप काव्यस्पष्टविशिष्टसुप्रतिष्ठाष्ट सुलक्षण-विचक्षण- त्रैलोक्यसार' - गोम्मटसार' - लब्धिसार' - क्षपणसार'- त्रिलोकप्रज्ञप्ति - सुविज्ञप्ति - अध्यात्माष्टसहस्त्री छन्दोऽलंकारादिशास्त्रस रिस्प्रतिपारप्रासान, शुद्धचिपचिश्वनविनः शिनिद्राणां सर्वदेशविहारावालानेकभद्राणां विधेकविश्वारयातुर्यगाम्भीर्यधैर्यवीर्यगुणगण समुद्राणां उत्कृष्टपात्राणां पालितानेकशछात्राणां विहितानेको समपात्राणां सकलविङ्कजनसभा शोभितगात्राणां गौवादि तमः सूर्य-कलिङ्गचादि - जलदस नागति-कर्णाटवादिप्रथमवचनखण्डनसमर्थ- पूर्वधादिमसमामृगेन्द्र तौलववादिविवस्वनावीर - गुर्जर वादिसिन्धु कुम्भोद्भव - मालववादिमस्तशूल जिताने का गर्व वाटनवज्राधाराण ज्ञातसकलस्व समयरसमयशास्त्रार्थानां, अङ्गीकृतमहामामामभिनय - सार्थकनामधेय श्री शुभचन्द्राचार्याणाम् ॥" Even after making concession for exaggeration, this list gives sufficient evidence for the wide learning and greatness (as a Bhatṭāraka) of Subhacandra among his contemporaries. b) IIIS VARIOUS WORKS મ Subhacandra is a voluminous writer who has handled manifold subjects in his wide range of works. In his Pandapurana ( completed in Sam. 1608, ie, 1551), he hus given a list of his works composed before 1551 A. D. Of some 28 works mentioned by him, the following are the Puranas: 1 Candraprabha carita, 2 Padmanabha-carita, 3 Pradyumna-carita, 4tmdhara-carita, 5 Camdan-katha, 6 Naudierankathi and 7 Pandavpurāṇa. Then his works on rituals are as below: 1 Trimsao-vaturvinsatipājā, 2 Siddhāreanam, 3 Sarasvatīpājā, 4 Cintamani-puja, 5 Karma-dahana-vidhāna, 6 Ganadhara-valaya-vidhana, 7 Palyopama-vidhana, 8 Caritra-suddhi-vidhana, 9 Catustrisadadhiku dvalasasate-vratodyapana, 10 Sarvatobhadra-vidhāna. Then the following are the commentaries: Parsvnātha-kāvya-puñjikā-fikā, Asadhara-puja-vṛttib, 3 Soarupa-sambulhane vyttih, 4 Adhyatma-palya-ţikā". Then there are some polemic and philosophical works: 1 Samsayavadanavidarana, 2 Apasabda-khandana, 3 Tattva-uirpaya, 4 Sadvada. Then there is the 1 Angapannatti, a work in Prakrit giving the traditional survey of Jaina literature; 2 a Prakrit grammar called Sabdo cintamani; and some 3 Stotras: these may be put under a miscellaneous group. His literary activities continued even after 1551 A. D., as noted below. 1) Of Nemioandra. 2) Of Yati Vrabha. 3) Perhaps lost to us. 4) Ed. J. P. SHANTRI, Jivarija J. Grantharaala 3, Sholapur 1954.
