२४२. प्रश्न: कर्मों के दस करण ( अवस्था ) कौन-कौन हैं ?

उत्तर : १. बन्ध, २ उत्कर्षण, २. संक्रमण, ४. अपकर्षण, ५. उदीरणा, ६ सत्त्व, ७. उदय, ८. उपशम, ६. निधत्ति और १० निकाचना ये दस करण प्रत्येक कर्म प्रकृति के होते हैं। इसका स्वरूप इस प्रकार है१. कर्मों का आत्मा के साथ सम्बन्ध होना बन्ध है । २. कर्मों की स्थिति तथा अनुभाग का बढ़ना उत्कर्षण है। ३. बन्धरूप प्रकृति का अन्य रूप परिणमन होना संक्रमण है। ४. कर्मों की स्थिति तथा अनुभाग का घट जाना अपकर्षण है। ५. उदयावली के बाहर स्थित कर्मद्रव्य को अपकर्षण के बल से उदयावली काल में लाना उदीरणा है।
