महाराजा काकुस्थ वर्मा (३६०-३६० ई०) ने जैन धर्म की प्रभावना के लिये भूमि प्रदान की थी' । इनके पुत्र महाराजा शान्ति वर्मा (३६०-४२० ई०) भी जैनधर्म प्रेमी थे। रविवर्मा के दान पत्र में इनको सारे कर्नाटक देश का स्वामो बताया है । इनके पुत्र मगेश वर्मा (४२०-४४५) ने अर्हन्त भगवान के सन्मुख घी के दीपक जलाने तथा उनके अभिषेक आरती पूजा आदि के खर्चों के लिये जैन मन्दिरों को गाँव भेंट किये थे । मृगेश वर्मा के हृदय पर जिनेन्द्र भगवान के विश्वास की छाप उनकी एक और भेंट से भी सिद्ध है, जिसमें उन्होंने कालवंगा नाम के ग्राम को तीन हिस्सों में बांट कर पहला श्री जिनेन्द्र भगवान को दूसरा जैन त्यागियों को और तीसरा जैन निग्रंथ मुनियों को अर्पण किया। इनके दोनों पुत्र महाराजा रवि वर्मा और भानु वर्मा भी अहेन्तभक्त थे और इन्होंने खूब दिल खोल कर अर्हन्त भगवान की १. Another grant of the same monarch (Mrgesvarma) bears the SEAL OF JINENDRA. He is said to have divided the village of Kalavanga into 3 parts. The first he gave to the Grea! God Jinendra, the h-ly Arhat and it was called 'the Hall of the Arhat,' the second for the enjoyment of the sect of eminent ascetics of Svetapatha which was intent on practising the true religion declared by Arhats and the third to the sect of eminent ascetics called the Nir. granthas." -Indian Antiquary.
