Hanoi, 20 December 1922. Dear Sir,
It was for me a matter of sincere grief to hear the sad fidings of the passing away of your revered gure Maharaj Sri Vijaya Dharma Suri. Although I never had the opportunity of meeting him I was able in the couse of a friendly correspondence to appreciate his profound learning, lofty spirit and kindess of heart. Even now when his mortal life is a thing of the past the memory of his rare qualities will last for ever in the miod of those who were in some way connected with his work and his thoughts. Please accept my heartful sympathy in this great bereavement and also my best thanks for your kind offer to give me any literary help which I should have expected from your deceased Acharya Maharaj. I wish you all success in the continuation of his work.
yours very sincerely.
