lectures and exhortations, upon which an idea struck me that Shree Acharya Maharaj be requested to give us such an essay. Accordingly a request was made and our request was amply rewarded. He entrusted this task to his learned disciple Munishree Kirtivijayajee and the Munishree in compliance with the command of Acharyashree, prepared such an essay containing all the fundamentals of the Jain philosophy in a nutshell, in a very simple yet beautiful and elegant style. In this essay, containing all the fundamentals, the exposition is so logical and intelligible that the common laity will be able to reap immense benefit out of it. I cannot help saying a few words in praise of the revered Munishree, as for some days past I have had the advantage of this good association and I had the experience of his indomitable zeal and commendable efforts. He is very efficient in his work and possesses a very keen intellect. Besides his poetical talent, his ability as a prosewriter also is of a very high order. He entertains great zeal for the glorification of the Jain marga (path), has a keen desire for its propagation and always strives his best for the same.
