आगम सूत्र ३९, छेदसूत्र-५, 'महानिशीथ'
अध्ययन/उद्देश/सूत्रांक और फिर बार-बार अति दुःसह घोर गहरे काले अंधकारवाले, लहूँ से लथपथ चरबी, परु, उल्टी, पित्त, कफ के कीचड़वाले, बदबूवाले, अशुचि बहनेवाले गर्भ की चारों ओर लीपटनेवाले ओर फेफड़े, विष्ठा, पेशाब आदि से भरे अनिष्ट, उद्वेग करनेवाले, अति घोर, चंड़, रौद्र दुःख से भयानक ऐसे गर्भ की परम्परा में प्रवेश करना वाकई में दुःख है, क्लेश है, वो रोग और आतंक है, वो शोक, संताप और उद्वेग करनेवाले हैं, वो अशान्ति करवानेवाले हैं, अशान्ति करवानेवाले होने से यथास्थिति इष्ट मनोरथ की अप्राप्ति करवानेवाले हैं, यथास्थिति इष्ट मनोरथ की प्राप्ति न होने से उसको पाँच तरह के अंतराय कर्म का उदय होता है।
जहाँ पाँच तरह के कर्म का उदय होता है, उसमें सर्व दुःख के अग्रभूत ऐसा प्रथम दारिद्रय पैदा होता है, जिसे दारिद्र होता है वहाँ अपयश, झूठे आरोप लगाना, अपकीर्ति कलंक आदि कईं दुःखों के ढ़ग इकट्ठे होते हैं । उस तरह के दुःख का योग हो तब सकल लोगों से शर्मीदा करनेवाले, निंदनीय, गर्हणीय, अवर्णवाद करवानेवाले, दुर्गंछा करवानेवाले, सर्व से पराभव पाए वैसे जीवितवाला होता है तब सम्यग्दर्शन ज्ञान चारित्र आदि गुण उनसे काफी दूर होते हैं, और मानव जन्म व्यर्थ जाता है या धर्म से सर्वथा हार जाता है।
तो सम्यग्दर्शन ज्ञान चारित्र आदि गुण से अति विप्रमुक्त होते हैं यानि वो आश्रव द्वार को रोक नहीं सकता। वो आश्रव द्वार को बन्द नहीं कर सकता, वो काफी बड़े पाप कर्म का निवासभूत बनता है । जो काफी बड़े पापकर्म का निवासभूत बनता है, वो कर्म का बंधक बनता है । बँधक हुआ यानि कैदखाने में कैदी की तरह पराधीन होता है, यानि सर्व अकल्याण अमंगल की झाल में फँसता है, यहाँ से छूटना काफी मुश्किल होता है क्योंकि कई कर्कश गहरे बद्ध स्पृष्ट निकाचित सेवन कर्म की ग्रंथि तोड़ नहीं सकते, उस कारण से एकेन्द्रियपन में बेइन्द्रियपन में, तेइन्द्रिय, चउरिन्द्रिय, पंचेन्द्रियपन में, नारकी, तिर्यंच कुमानवपन आदि में कई तरह के शारीरिक, मानसिक दुःख भुगतने पड़ते हैं । अशाता भुगतनी पड़ती है । इस कारण से हे गौतम ! ऐसा कहा जाता है किऐसी कुछ आत्माएं होती है कि जो वैसे गीतार्थ के गच्छ में रहकर गुरुकुलवास सेवन करते हैं और कुछ सेवन नहीं करते। सूत्र- ६९४
हे भगवंत! मिथ्यात्व के आचरणवाले कुछ गच्छ होते है क्या ? हे गौतम ! जो कोई अज्ञानी, विराधना करने वाले गच्छ हो वो यकीनन मिथ्यात्व के आचरण युक्त होते हैं । हे भगवंत ! ऐसी कौन-सी आज्ञा है कि जिसमें रहा गच्छ आराधक होता है ? हे गौतम ! संख्यातीत स्थानांतर से गच्छ की आज्ञा बताई है। जिसमें आराधक होता

हे भगवंत ! क्या उस संख्यातीत गच्छ मर्यादा के स्थानांतर में ऐसा कोई स्थानान्तर है कि जो उत्सर्ग या अपवाद से किसी भी तरह से प्रमाद दोष से बार-बार मर्यादा या आज्ञा का उल्लंघन करे तो भी आराधक हो ? गौतम ! यकीनन वो आराधक नहीं है । हे भगवंत ! किस कारण से आप ऐसा कहते हो? हे गौतम ! तीर्थंकर उस तीर्थ को करनेवाले हैं और फिर तीर्थ चार वर्णवाला उस श्रमणसंघ गच्छ में प्रतिष्ठित होते हैं । गच्छ में भी सम्यग्दर्शन, ज्ञान, चारित्र, प्रतिष्ठित हुए हैं । यह सम्यग्दर्शन ज्ञान, चारित्र परम पूज्य में भी ज्यादा शरण करने के लायक हैं । ज्यादा सेवन करने में भी यह तीन विशेष सेवन के लिए उचित हैं । ऐसे शरण्य, पूज्य, सेव्य, दर्शनादिक को जो किसी गच्छ में किसी भी स्थान में किसी भी तरह विराधना करे वो गच्छ सम्यग्मार्ग को नष्ट करनेवाला, उन्मार्ग की देशना करनेवाला होता है । जिस गच्छ में सम्यग्मार्ग का विनाश होता है, उन्मार्ग का देशक होता है यकीनन आज्ञा का विराधक होता है । इस कारण से हे गौतम ! ऐसा कहते हैं कि, संख्यातीत गच्छमें मर्यादा का स्थानांतर होता है। गच्छ में जो कोई किसी भी एक या ज्यादा स्थान मर्यादा आज्ञा का उल्लंघन करे वो एकान्त आज्ञा का विराधक

One becomes the abode of great sinful karma. One becomes bound by karma. Being bound, one becomes subservient like a prisoner in a jail, trapped in the web of all inauspiciousness and misfortune. It is very difficult to escape from this, as one cannot break the knot of harsh, deep, bound, touched, and exhausted karma. Due to this, one suffers various physical and mental pains in the states of one-sense, two-sense, three-sense, four-sense, five-sense, hellish, animal, and human. One has to suffer such misery.

Therefore, O Gautam! It is said that there are some souls who, while residing in the Gachch of the Gītārt, receive the benefits of the Guru-kula, but do not receive any benefits. Sutra-694

O Bhagvant! Are there any Gachch who practice falsehood? O Gautam! Any Gachch who are ignorant and oppose the teachings are surely engaged in the practice of falsehood. O Bhagvant! What is the command that makes a Gachch a devotee? O Gautam! The command of the Gachch is stated as the transfer of the infinite number of places. In which there is a devotee. Sutra-695

O Bhagvant! In the transfer of the infinite number of places of the Gachch, is there any transfer that, even if it repeatedly violates the rules or commands due to negligence, carelessness, or exception, is still considered a devotee? O Gautam! Surely, that is not a devotee. O Bhagvant! Why do you say so? O Gautam! The Tirthankara performs the pilgrimage, and then the Tirthankara, with four castes, is established in the Shraman Sangh Gachch. In the Gachch, right faith, knowledge, and conduct are also established. This right faith, knowledge, and conduct are worthy of refuge in the highest respect. They are also suitable for the three special services in the highest service. Anyone who opposes these refuge-worthy, respectable, and serviceable, in any way, in any place, in any Gachch, is a destroyer of the right path, a preacher of the wrong path. In the Gachch where the right path is destroyed and the wrong path is preached, surely there is a violation of the command. Therefore, O Gautam! It is said that in the infinite number of places of the Gachch, there is a transfer of rules. Anyone in the Gachch who violates the rules or commands in one or more places is a violator of the single command.
