Atmānusāsana
आत्मानुशासन
who are engaged in attainment of their goal (of liberation) – such valiant supreme ascetics, like lion among men, rid of delusion, sitting in seclusion in a posture called 'palyaňkāsana'on a mountain, in a dreadful forest, or in a cave, meditate on the way to get rid of the body, on the nature of the pure-soul, or on the Three Jewels (ratnatraya).
येषां भूषणमङ्गसङ्गतरजः स्थानं शिलायास्तलं शय्या शर्करिला मही सुविहिता गेहं गुहा द्वीपिनाम् । आत्मात्मीयविकल्पवीतमतयस्त्रुट्यत्तमोग्रन्थयः ते नो ज्ञानधना मनांसि पुनतां मुक्तिस्पृहा निस्पृहाः ॥२५९॥
अर्थ - शरीर में लगी हुई धूलि ही जिनका भूषण है, स्थान जिनका शिला का तलभाग है, शय्या जिनकी कंकरीली भूमि है, भलीभाँति रची गई (प्रकृतिसिद्ध) सिंहों की गुफा ही जिनका घर है, जो आत्मा और आत्मीयरूप विकल्पबुद्धि से - ममत्वबुद्धि से - रहित हो चुके हैं, जिनके अज्ञान की गाँठ खुल चुकी है, तथा जो मुक्ति के सिवाय अन्य किसी बाह्य वस्तु की इच्छा नहीं रखते हैं; ऐसे ज्ञानरूप धन के धारक वे साधु हमारे मन को पवित्र करें।
