आत्मानुशासन
the possessor of the body (the soul) that live together inseparably like the milk and the water, what can be said about the obviously distinct objects, like the wife, the son, the friend, the wealth, etc.?
तप्तोऽहं देहसंयोगाज्जलं वानलसङ्गमात् । इति देहं परित्यज्य शीतीभूताः शिवैषिणः ॥२५४॥
अर्थ - जिस प्रकार अग्नि के संयोग से जल संतप्त होता है उसी प्रकार मैं शरीर के संयोग से संतप्त हुआ हूँ - दु:खी हुआ हूँ। इसी कारण मोक्ष की अभिलाषा करने वाले भव्य जीव इस शरीर को छोड़ करके सुखी हुए हैं।
Just as water gets heated due to its association with the fire, I have been made miserable due to my association with the body. Thinking in this manner, those who long for liberation attain happiness only after dissociating themselves from the body.
अनादिचयसंवृद्धो महामोहो हृदि स्थितः । सम्यग्योगेन यैर्वान्तस्तेषामूर्ध्वं विशुद्ध्यति ॥२५५॥
अर्थ - हृदय में स्थित जो महा-मोह अनादि काल से एकत्रित होने से वृद्धि को प्राप्त हुआ है उसको जिन महापुरुषों ने समीचीन समाधि के द्वारा वान्त कर दिया है - नष्ट कर दिया है - उनका आगे का भव विशुद्ध होता है।
