Atmānuśāsana
आत्मानुशासन
that is inauspicious (aśubha, marked by asamyama) to auspicious (śubha, marked by samyama) and finally, void of all karmic dirt, to pure (śuddha). It is right; as there is no trace of darkness in the sun till dusk, the ascetic who has reached the pure (suddha) stage, has no trace of inauspicious or even auspicious dispositions.
विधूततमसो रागस्तपः श्रुतनिबन्धनः ।
सन्ध्याराग इवार्कस्य जन्तोरभ्युदयाय सः ॥ १२३॥
अर्थ अज्ञानरूप अन्धकार को नष्ट कर देने वाले प्राणी के जो तप और शास्त्रविषयक अनुराग होता है वह सूर्य की प्रभातकालीन लालिमा के समान उसके अभ्युदय (अभिवृद्धि) के लिये होता है।
The attachment (rāga) in respect of austerities (tapa) and the Scripture that the ascetic who has destroyed the darkness of ignorance retains is like the red light emanating from the sun at the break of dawn; soon it becomes bright as the sun rises.
विहाय व्याप्तमालोकं पुरस्कृत्य पुनस्तमः । रविवद्रागमागच्छन् पातालतलमृच्छति ॥ १२४॥
अर्थ - जिस प्रकार सूर्य फैले हुए प्रकाश को छोड़कर और अन्धकार को आगे करके जब राग (लालिमा ) को प्राप्त होता है तब वह पाताल
को जाता है अस्त हो जाता है, उसी प्रकार जो प्राणी वस्तुस्वरूप को प्रकाशित करने वाले ज्ञानरूप प्रकाश को छोड़कर अज्ञान को स्वीकार
