________________ Atmānuśāsana शरीरेऽस्मिन् सर्वाशुचिनि बहुदुःखेऽपि निवसन् व्यरंसीन्नो नैव प्रथयति जनः प्रीतिमधिकाम् । इदं दृष्ट्वाप्यस्माद्विरमयितुमेनं च यतते यतिर्याताख्यानैः परहितरतिं पश्य महतः ॥९७॥ अर्थ जो शरीर सब प्रकार से अपवित्र और बहुत दुःखों को उत्पन्न करने वाला है ऐसे इस शरीर में रहनेवाला प्राणी उससे विरक्त नहीं होता है, बल्कि वह उक्त शरीर को देख करके भी उससे अधिक प्रीति नहीं करता हो सो बात नहीं, किन्तु अधिक ही प्रीति करता है । उसको हितैषी मुनि श्रेष्ठ उपदेशों के द्वारा इस अपवित्र शरीर से विरक्त करने के लिये प्रयत्न करते हैं। ऐसे महापुरुषों का दूसरों का हितविषयक अनुराग देखने योग्य है प्रशंसनीय है। 1 The body is impure all over, and the cause of many miseries. Still, the man living in such a body does not become averse to it. On the other hand, he becomes greatly attached to it. The saints, who wish only his wellbeing, try to engender in him through excellent discourses a sense of detachment for the impure body.
