Verses 87, 88
अर्थ - जो संसाररूप भयानक समुद्र मनोहर पदार्थों के निमित्त से उत्पन्न होने वाले असन्तोषजनक सुख-रूप खारे जल से परिपूर्ण है; जिसका भीतरी भाग अनेक प्रकार से मानसिक दु:खों-रूप बड़वानल की ज्वालाओं से जल रहा है; तथा जो मरण, जन्म एवं वृद्धत्व-रूप लहरों से चंचल है; उस भयानक संसार-समुद्र में जो विवेकी प्राणी मोहरूप हिंस्र जलजन्तुओं (मगरमच्छ आदि) के फाड़े हुए मुख-रूप बिल से दूर रहते हैं वे दुर्लभ हैं।
The dreadful ocean of worldly existence is full of brackish water, incapable of quenching thirst, in form of pleasures that charming objects provide. As the ocean burns from inside due to the flames of the oceanic-fire, the worldly existence burns due to the fire of various kinds of mental agony. It is unsteady due to the waves of death, birth and old-age. It is full of cruel water-animals, like the crocodile of delusion, with gaping mouths; it is rare to find men who can keep themselves away from these gaping mouths.
अव्युच्छिन्नैः सुखपरिकरैालिता लोलरम्यैः श्यामाङ्गीनां नयनकमलैरर्चिता यौवनान्तम् । धन्योऽसि त्वं यदि तनुरियं लब्धबोधेम॒गीभिर्दग्धारण्ये स्थलकमलिनीशङ्कयालोक्यते ते ॥८॥
अर्थ – निरन्तर प्राप्त होने वाली सुख-सामग्री से पालित और यौवन के मध्य में सुन्दर स्त्रियों के चंचल एवं रमणीय नेत्रों-रूप कमलों से पूजित
