(iv) Self-restraint with auspicious conduct (Sarāga Samyama): To limit the activities
of mind/body/speech so as to protect other living beings and to limit the
sensual desires and needs. (v) Other: After writing the self-restraint, in this Sūtra, 'Adi' has been written.
Ādi' means 'etc.' Here by ‘etc.' one may mean the prayer and other activities of mind, body, and speech meant for the spiritual progress of oneself and welfare of others. 'Yoga' written in the Sūtra means actions of body, speech,
and, mind related with all these virtues written here. (vi) Equanimity/forgiveness (Kşānti): The virtuous state of mind related with
equanimity and forgiveness. (vii) Purity (Saucha): The actions to pursue purity (reduction in the greed of
having more and more). (4) Mohanīya (Deluding Karma): Ācārya Umāsvāmī writes: Kevali-śruta-sangha-dharma-devāvarņavādo darśanamohasya.
(Tattvärthasūtra -6.13) According to this Sūtra, the distortion or attribution of faults to the following is responsible for the Asrava of Darśana Mohaniya Karma: (i) Omniscient souls (Arahanta and Siddha), (ii) scriptures, (iii) congregation of ascetics, (iv) Dharma, and (v) Deva (celestial beings). Ācārya Umāsvāmī further writes: Kaşāyodayāttīvrapariņāmaścāritramohusya.
(Tattvārthasūtra - 6.14) According to this Sūtra, the intense feeling/experience/ thought due to the fruition of Kaṣāya (anger, ego, deceit, greed) leads to the Asrava of Cāritra Mohanīya Karma. (5) Āyu (Life sp.in in the four realms determining Karma): Ācārya Umāsvāmi
