Parisaha is also classified under two categories i. e. (1) Favourable - Comfortable (Anukul parisaha) & (2) Adverse - uncomfortable (Pratikool Parisaha).
Horrible painful experience suddenly faced in the form of accidental occurance, may turnout to be fatal i.e. result in death. Means by which one becomes instrumental in causing pain by coming nearer & inflict painful experience is called UPASARGA. Upasarga creates painful experience It can be caused by (1) Human beings (2)Birds - Animals (Tiryanch) (3) or Deities i. e, celestial or other types of Dev categories. These are three categories of Upsarga. Upsarga causing physical pains or bodily discomforts are external Upsarga whereas pains causing sufferings by way of hurting feelings (sentiment) of mental type are internal Upsarga.
Lord Mahavira has preached through sermons to monks & other beings engaged in spiritual activities following path of liberation to bear & tolerate both Parisaha & Upsarga with balanced mind, equanimity and without being upset in any way Parisahas are normally tolerable (Bearable), while Upsargas are more torturous & painful.
Upsarga leaves much scope for karmic extinction (Nirjara) shedding off karmic particles in faster way i. e. with instant and spontaneous effectiveness. Some parisaha, when becomes acute & sharp converts into Upasarga.
PRABHAVANA Whenever any pooja, or any Religious festivals - rituals are held in Jain temples (Derasars) Sthanakas, or Upashraya and also after end of Pravachana by Monks (M&F), there is a system (practice) of

distributing items to each person attending, such as sugar packets, or fried sugar cakes (Patasa), coconut, sweet rolls (Laddu) Vessels, utensils, cash (coins/notes) specific items useful in performing rituals, like Aasan, glossary (Mala / or stationary articles like pen, exercise book also printed books of religious nature etc. and this sort of Free gift is known as 'Prabhavana'. Donor feels happy to serve to persons of Common faith (Sadharmik) i.e. follower of same faith. Over and above this, on the occasion of celebration of Tapashcharya, Jaap or any other event, Gift items are distributed either at Upashraya or at home of donor of gift, it is known as (Laani) 'Smruti Bhet' more exactly Prabhavana, as popularly known. Practice through which Jainism or Jinshasan is glorified, is the underlying purpose behind this. In fact to inspire and create interest in spiritual activities & rituals, the concept of Prabhavana has come into existence It has been a traditional practice followed which makes 'prabhavana' as deep rooted word in gross (sthul) sense of term. This can also be called "Incentive".
The real & Nischaya prabhavana is to enlighten the inner spirit to glorify the soul under "Ratnatraya" i. e. three gems (Jewels) of Samyak Darshan, Gnan & Charitra. In each & every rituals or practices the importance is stressed on 'Bhavana", precious feelings and spiritual reflections. Prabhavana (material gift) can never exceed in importance to Bhavana & Spiritual ideals attached to it. This type of right understanding and sense of proportion (Vivek) are very essential.
SAMKIT (SAMYAKTVA) Faith in Right (PROPER - REAL) DEV-GOD, Right Spiritual Teacher (GURU) and Right form of Dharma (Religion) is a carved path to reach ultimate goal of life - liberation from all miseries of the life.
