It is connected with the Sk. word ew from which it appears to have been derived. (Sk. fa ) already explained in the previous stanza. . St. 48. HEER (Sk. AITSTT) The worshipper of deate i. e. S'iva of Vishnu ( see notes on st. 42). fwosgiftsfa (Sk. F efor) is a Jaina technical term often used in the sense of a person not believing in the true God ( Vitarag) the true preceptor (viz. a Nirgrantha), and the true Religion. ( viz. the Jaina Faith ). Hence secondarily it means 'a person holding heretic doctrines, i.e. a heretic.'Amers (sk. Erre:) is the opposite of fHoencefa i, e. ' a person believing in the true god, the true preceptor and the true religion. Hence secondarily it means, "a person baving a firm faith i. e. a believer.
