(189) "Still however, there is one powerful or good (samatthi,' remedy ) which involves no sin (or fault) viz. the worship of the Nine Dignities which is propounded by the Jinas to be the root (cause) of (all) the happiness of this world, as well as of the next. (190) i <<The Arbats (or the Destroyers of the internal enemies such as love and hate), The Siddhas (or the Emancipated Ones), The Acharyas (or the Religious Heads), The Upadhyayas (or the Religious Teachers ), The Sadhus ( or the monks), the Right Faith, the (Right) Know. ledge, the (Right) Character, and the (Right) Penance,--these Nine Dignities are the Highest (or Supreme ) Truth ( Tattva, the sum and substance of everything).
