________________ हस्तिकुण्डी का इतिहास-१०४ Jog Singhji of Bijapur were present at the said religious lecture. The said late Thakur was highly impressed by the religious lecture and offered to the said Vallabh Vijaiji Maharaj his services for the Hatundi Rata Mahavir Jain Temple at Bijapur. Thereupon Shree Vallabh Vijaiji Maharaj. suggested to the late Thakur that there was necessity of vacant land surrounding the Mahavir Jain Temple for the purpose of Dharamshala and also a small piece of land for garden for the said temple. The late Thakur agreed to gift two pieces of land for the purpose of Dharamshala and garden etc. At the said time it was suggested that a Patta in respect of the said two pieces of land be made in my name for the token consideration of Rs. 1-4-0, and that I was to hold the said land for the benefit of the Jain Swetamber Murti Pujak Sangh of Bijapur for the purpose of constructing a Dharamshala, etc. Accordingly on or about the 7th February, 1940 the patta of the said two pieces of land was issued in my name duly signed by the said Thakur Jogsinghji, Chief of Bijapur. By the said patta the said two pieces of land were conferred upon me absolutely for token consideration of Rs. 1-4-0 as the same was for charitable purposes.
