हास्पिटश खोके । इनके सर्च के लिये यहाँ के किसानों पर पाव आने से लेकर एक आना प्रति रुसवा हिसाब से कुल आमदनी पर न बैठाया। इस प्रकार के आपने कई काम किये ।।
यद्यपि मेहता गोकुलचन्दजी के बाद प्रधान का पद किसी को नहीं मिला परन्तु पक्षालजी को महाराबा की भोर से प्रधान के समान ही इजत प्रदान की गई थीं। भारत गवर्नमेंट ने आपको 'राय' की पदवी दी। वि.सं. १९५७ में भाप नवीन स्थापित महदाज सभा के सदस्य बनाये गये। इसी समय आपको भारत सरकार की घोर से C.IE.की पदवी प्रदान की गई । भापके कार्यों से क्या पोलिटिकल एजंट, क्या वाइसराय, क्या ए० जी० जी० सभी प्रसन्न रहा करते थे। तथा समय समय पर उक्त उच्च पदाधिकारियों ने कई सर्टिफिकेट आपको दिये हैं। इन में से हम कुछ यहाँ पर पाठकों की जानकारी के लिये देते हैं।
पोलिटिकल एजंट ने १० दिसम्बर सन् १९८७ के टाइम्स ऑफ इन्डिया में इस प्रकार लिया है:
"Rai Pannalal is an intelligent, energetic and hard working officer and has rendered great assistance to the Political Agent in the administration of the State during the minority. He is the only person capable of holding the high post, he now occupies in the State." 1-एक और सम्माननीय उचे अफसर आपके विषय में लिखते हैं:
"He has fully justified the high opinion thus expressed of him: he is undoubtedly very able. He is thoroughly acquainted with the people of the Country: aud they in return have considerable confidence in him.' इसी प्रकार कर्नल हचिसन अटक की होटल से सन् १८७३ की ता. २२ मई को लिखते हैं:
"I must send you a line before I leave India to tell you that in my opinion, you discharged the wonderous and important duties, entrustd to you by His Highness the Maharana, faithfully and well. I trust you wlil continue the merit and the confidence of His Highness and that you will remember that your acts are watched by both friends and enemies; any fail. ing, therefore, will pain the one and give the other the opportunity which they will not be slow to use against you.
