SAMBUVARĀYA CHIEFS KNOWN SO FAR For the sake of brevity the following abbreviations are used in the list given below.-S.-for Sambuvarāyan, N.-for Nālāyiravan, Am--for Ammaiyappan, Seng.--for Sengēņi and Atti.- for Attimallan.
In the last column, references are to numbers and years of the Madras Epigraphical Report ; thus 422/1922 refers to inscription No. 422 given in the Madras Epigraphical Report for the year 1922.
