January, A.D. 1295, and November, A.D. 1298: that, however, is not correct : the case is as follows.-(1) Tbe first date angwers quite regularly, for the year B.E. 657 expired, to Friday, 16th December, A.D. 1295.-(2) The second date is “irregular": instead of working out for a Sunday as given in the record, for the year B.E. 660 expired, the given lunar day answers to Monday, 13th October, A.D. 1298 ; and for the year B.E. 660 current it answers to Thursday, 24th October, AD. 1297.-See my paper in the Jour.
