ABSTRACT OF CONTENTS. The record opens with a description of the charms and delights of a town named Yayatinagara (line 12), on the Mahanadi (1. 10), using the four verses which in E. are applied to Vinitapura. Then, in five more verses, of wbich three occur in E., it mentions a king named Janamêjaya (1. 14), his son Yayati (1. 17), -and the latter's son Bhimaratha (1. 24). Then it continues :-- From the town of Yayatinagara (1. 12), the most devout worshipper of (the god) Mahêávara, the Paramabhattaraka, the Maharajadhiraja, the Paramesvara, the ornament of the Sômakula, the lord of the three Kalingas, the glorious MaheBhavaguptarjadeva (L.) (1. 31), who meditates on the feet of the most devout worshipper of (the god) Mahsvara, the Paramabhattáraka, the Mahdrajddhindja, the Paramésvara, the ornament of the 86makula, the lord of the three Kalingas, the glorious MahlSivaguptarajadeva (1. 28-29), being in good health (1. 31), and having done worship to the Brahmans of the district at the village of Gaudasimiņilligrams in the KosalaSakhangadyan ha vishaya (1. 31-32), issues & command to all the officials and servants of the king, to the effect that the viilage in question has been given by him, by this charter, on the occasion of an eclipse of the sun (1. 42), to the Ránaka Rachchh8 (1. 42), son of the Bhafta Vasishtha and son's son of the Bhatta Paramèsvars, an immigrant from the bhatta-village
