Dravida line offers no difficulty whatever. Dravida Bopp, for the sake of comparison, thought of a od, 'to read, to recite,' as to form could be derived Sk. root with final iy, viz. of Vedic Vpiy, 'confrom Sansksit vad or vach, but there is no necessity vitiari', 'to abuse', 'to scoff. Vedic piydru, for doing so.

More assonances are sometimes of a striking nature, viz. a tadbhava of Sk. patni, 'a wife', is panni, and this for which I adduce another instance with regard to per certainly reminds the ear of pén, or pénu, a female.'
