૪૧. ભાવથી પર વ્યક્તિ શોકથી મુક્ત થઈ જાય છે. જેવી રીતે કમળ જળમાં રહેવા છતાં ભીતું થતું નથી, એવી રીતે જ તે સંસારમાં રહેવા છતાં દુ:ખોતી પરંપરાથી દુ:ખી થતો નથી.
41. A person who is detached of feelings, gets rid of sorrow. It is like a lotus, despite, staying (remaining) in tank/pond, remains (keeps) free from the influence of water (does not get wet). In the same manner, the person, though externally appears to be a worldly man, is detached, from within and does not get effected by spate of miseries.

४२. समिक्ख पंडिए तम्हा पासजाइपहे वह । મિવ अप्पणा सच्चमेसेज्जा, मेत्तिं भूएसु પ્પ′ ||૧||
इसलिए ज्ञानी अनेकविध पाश या बन्धनों की, जो कि जन्ममरण के कारण हैं, समीक्षा करके स्वयं सत्य की खोज करे और सब प्राणियों के प्रति मैत्री भाव रखें ।

૪૨. તેથી જ જ્ઞાતી અનેક પ્રકારતા અવરોધ અને બંધત જે જન્મમરણતાં કારણ છે, તેની સમીક્ષા કરીને પોતે સત્ય છે તેની શોધ કરે અને બધાં પ્રાણી પ્રત્યે મૈત્રીભાવ રાખે.

42. That is why, an enlightened person, reviews obstacles of various types and different bondages, which are the cause of birth & death, and finds out the truth (real) and remains (keep) friendly with all the living beings.
