[Mahirāvana is called a river in the Bhasya of the Bṛhatkalpasūtra; vide Sāndesarā, B. J.: जैन आगमसाहित्यमां गुजरात, p. 76. Here Mallikārjuna, the King of Konkana, is called महिरावणाधिपति. Most probably Mahiravana must be a city on the bank of the river of that name. ]
