छन्दोदर्शनम्
57 चतुर्थी ऋक् । पदं पृथिव्यामाग्नेयमैन्द्रं पदमन्तरिक्षे ।
पदं दिवि त आदित्यमृग्भिर्यजुभिः सामभिः ॥ ४ ॥ पदपाठ :- पदम् । पृथिव्याम् । आग्नेयम् । ऐन्द्रम् । पदम् । अन्तरिक्षे ।
पदम् । दिवि । ते | आदित्यम् । ऋक्ऽभिः । यजुःऽभिः । सामऽभिः ।।
Your foot on earth is in the form of Agni; in mid-air in the form of Indra; and in the sky in the form of Aditya. These are represented by Rgveda, Yajurveda and Samaveda.
अन्वयभाष्यम्। __ पृथिव्यां आग्नेयं पदं ऋग्भिः सम्पद्यते इति शेषः । अन्तरिक्ष यजुभि: ऐन्द्रं पदं, दिवि आदित्यं पदं सामभिः ते भवन्तीति ।।
COMMENTARY-SUMMARY TRANSLATION
On the earth, your foot is Agni as represented by Rgveda. In mid-air, your foot is Indra, as represented by Yajurveda. In the sky, your foot is Aditya as represented by Samaveda.
पश्चमी ऋक् । वक्तुः समात्मनो वाचः प्रवहन्त्यास्ते पराच्याः ।
चत्वारि मनसा साकं पदानि तानि हितानि ॥५॥ पदपाठ :- वक्तुः । सम् । आत्मनः । वाचः। प्रऽवहन्त्याः । ते । पराच्याः ।
चत्वारि । मनसा । साकम् । पदानि । तानि । हितानि ॥ As you (Sarasvati ) issue out as speech from the self of the speaker, all your four feet (three are already mentioned and the fourth is the power of the individual) are associated together in the mind.
अन्वयभाष्यम् । आदौ-छन्दोभि: त्रीणि पदानि उक्तानि, त्रीणि वेदैः, त्रीणि ज्योतिभिः, तानि त्रिविधानि पारिभाषिकाण्येव, अधिविद्य-अधिज्यौतिषादितात्त्विकार्थप्रयुक्तानि च भवितुमर्हन्ति यथाश्रतानि ॥
