We all know that there is no royal road to learning, and one, who desires to be a real student must be prepared to sacrifice his time and ease to master the subject he chooses to take up. Dr. Johnson advises his readers to give their days and nights to Addison, if they would care to be masters of the English language. Can any sane man, then, expect to master a Grammar, which is admittedly the most perfect in the world, and which has no rival in any lan guage, ancient or modern, without making extraordinary efforts to study it?
You have attempted a task for which you can be justly proud, as it is the first of its kind in the Gujarati language. I earnestly entreat all in authority to give it a fair trial in our Training Colleges and call upon all managers of Primary and Secondary Schools to introduce the book as a help and guide to the study of Sanskrit, as suggested by your goodself in the App so patriotically.
I venture respectfully but emphatically to endorse the favourable opinion given by the Vyakaran-Acharya Shastri Jivram Lallubhai on your work, which, though a labour of love to you, must have cost you immense pains and made an uncommon demand upon your time and purse.
