________________ PAÑCALINGĪPRAKARAŅAM : 189 Tā niyapakkhanirāgāradamsaņā ei jhatti mutto vi/ Eyamasangamanimittimittha samsārarūvam jami || 96 || Tat nijapaksanirākāradarśanena eti jhạtiti mukto 'pi/ Etadasangamanimittimatra samsārarūpam yat || 96 || The liberated one, too, comes back on seeing His own faith wane || That is causatively unreasonable, and how can the liberated be worldly again? || 96 || 96. (The Vaiśesikas may advance the argument that) the liberated soul (the God) quickly comes back (reincarnates) when He sees that His own faith is being declined and derided. However, this argument is also untenable as it is flawed on two counts: firstly, there is no causative reason in the form of remaining karmic encumbrance) that may result in His rebirth in the worldly form, and, secondly, how can a liberated soul become worldly again? Thus, the author effectivly refutes this misplaced belief.
