RAYPASENIYA SUTTA.
TRANSLATION.
(1) In those days and in that epoch, there was a city named Amalkappa (which was) prosperous, peaceful, rich [upto] charining (or. having many mansions) worth seeing, enchanting, and splendid.
(2) Outside the Amalkappa city, to the north-eastern direction, there was an ancient [down to] charming, holy place hamed Ambsal
vana.
(3) The description of an excellent Agora tree and a slab of stone is to be understood according to Ov-vaiya-sutta).
(4) There was Seya King, 'Dharini queen, Lord (Mahāvira) arrived, congregation, went forth (as usual there was a religious sermon.... .......upto) the King was waiting upon (the Lord).
(5) In that age, and at that time, the god Suriyābha; (seated) on Suriyabha throne, in Sohamma assembly hall, (situated) in Suriyābha abode, in Sohamma heaven, encircled by four
