She collected and placed faggots of wood all around the muni. She then applied fire to them. The muni was deeply engrossed in meditation. His physical body turned into ashes.
Kanakmala concealed herself there only in a dense cluster of trees. Muni Mahabal was absorbed in a spirit of equality and steadiness of mind. He did not get any anger against the person who applied the fire. He only felt that this fire was burning out his actions.
