है; ऐसे यति (सदाचार्य) सच्चे आचार्य हैं । (इति) इस प्रकार (बुधैः) बुद्धिमानों के द्वारा (प्रशस्तः) कहा गया है।
Intelligent persons have asserted that the heads of orders of saints can be only such saints - who belong to high class families, whose bodies are proportionately built and beautiful, who are conquerers of senses, who narrate religious narratives and who remain uneffective by the gains arising out of pleasures, riches and glories.
विजितमदनकेतुं निर्मलं निर्विकारं, रहितसकलसंगं संयमासक्त चित्तं । सुनयनिपुणभावं ज्ञाततत्त्वप्रपंजम् जननमरणभीतं सद्गुरु नौमिनित्यम् ।।9।।
जिन्होंने (विजितमदनकेतु) कामदेव की ध्वजा को जीत लिया है, (निर्मल) शुद्ध हैं, (निर्विकार) विकार रहित हैं, ( रहितसकल संग) समस्त परिग्रह से रहित हैं, (संयमासक्त चित्तम्) संयम में जिनका चित्त आसक्त है, (सुनयनिपुणभाव) समीचीन नयों के वर्णन करने में जो चतुर हैं, (ज्ञाततत्वप्रपंचम् ) जान लिया है तत्वों के विस्तार को जिन्होंने, (जननमरणभीत) जन्म-मरण से जो भयभीत हैं, उन (सद्गुरु) सच्चे गुरु को (नित्यम्) सदाकाल (नौमि ) मैं नमस्कार करता हूँ ।
I always respectfuly bow dwon and pay obeisance to all true saints who have conquered the god of lust, who are pure, faultless, who have abandoned all possessions, devoted to restraint, skilled in describing objects from various standpoints, well versed in the dimentions of elements and who are afraid of the vicious circle of birth, oldage and death.
सम्यग्दर्शन मूलं, ज्ञानस्कंधं चरित्रशाखाद्यम् । मुनिगणविहगाकीर्ण-माचार्य महाद्रुमम् वन्दे | | 10 ।।
(सम्यग्दर्शनमूलं) सम्यग्दर्शन जिसकी जड़ है, (ज्ञानंस्कंध ) ज्ञान जिसका स्कन्ध है, (चारित्रशाखाढयम्) चारित्र रूपी शाखा से जो युक्त हैं, (मुनिगण-विहगाकीर्ण) मुनिसमूह रूपी पक्षियों से जो युक्त हैं; उन (आचार्यमहाद्रुमम्) आचार्य रूप महावृक्ष को (वन्दे) मैं नमस्कार करता हूँ ।
