There at he was adorned with beautiful umbrella, Asoka tree, divine sound, throne, musical intrument, dundubhi, raining of fragrant divine flowers, excellent whiskers, halo and similar other objects.
दसविधमनगारामेकादशधोत्तर तथा धर्मम्। देशयमानो व्यवहरंस्त्रिशद्वर्षाण्यथ जिनेन्द्रः।।15।।
(अथ) वैभार पर्वत पर, प्रथम दिव्य देशना के पश्चात् (जिनेन्द्रः) भगवान महावीर स्वामी ने (दशविधम् अनगारणाम्) दस प्रकार के मुनि धर्म का (तथा) और (एकादशधा उत्तरं धर्म) ग्यारह प्रकार-ग्यारह प्रतिमा के बारह व्रत आदि रूप श्रावक धर्म का (देशयमानः) उपदेश देते हुए (त्रिंशद् वर्षाणि) तीस वर्षों पर्यन्त (व्यवहरत्) विशेष-रीत्या विहार किया।
After delivering the first divine discourse (divya deshanā) at mount Baibhār, Lord Mahāvira gave preachings relating to ten kinds of conduct of saints (muni dharma) and eleven kinds of supplementary conduct i.e. house holders conduct/shrāvaka dharma. Then he moved in an special manner from one place to another and delivered his discourses for thirty years.
पद्मवनदीर्घिकाकुल विविध द्रुमखण्ड मण्डिते रम्ये। पवानगरोद्योने व्युत्सर्गेण स्थितः स मुनिः।। 16।।
(सः मुनि) ने केवलज्ञानी, स्नातक मुनि, सकल परमात्मा भगवान महावीर (पह्यवन-दीर्घिकाकुल-विविध-द्रुम-खंड-मण्डिते) कमलवन समूह, वापिका/बावड़ी समूह और अनेक प्रकार के वृक्ष समूह से शोभायमान (पावानगरे उद्याने) पावानगर के उद्यान में (व्युत्सर्गेण स्थितः) कायोत्सर्ग से स्थित हो गये।
There after, Tirthankar Mahāvira reached the garden of Pāwā nagar, which was adorned (glorified) with lotus forests, groups of step wells and various kinds of trees and started body mortification in standing posture (kaayotsarga).
